     As a first-grade teacher at Haskell STEAM Magnet Elementary, my mission is to foster a love for learning by creating an engaging, inclusive, and hands-on classroom environment where curiosity is encouraged and creativity is celebrated. I strive to inspire students to explore the wonders of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics through interactive lessons and collaborative activities. As students develop the skills to read and write independently, I focus on building their literacy and communication abilities, ensuring they are prepared for future academic success. By developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, I aim to prepare students to be college and career-ready while nurturing the qualities of adaptability, innovation, and resilience. My goal is to empower students to become confident, lifelong learners, equipped with the skills and mindset needed to thrive as 21st-century thinkers and problem-solvers.
